P.B for Russ Louch in the Dordogne

Author: Jason

Lake Beaumont would like to welcome Russ and Malcolm form the UK for a week of carp fishing in the south of France.

They arrived saturday morning at Bergerac airport ready for there adventure on our lake.

After doing a few stops on the way back from the airport for bait and supply’s they were ready for some serious fishing.

By 12.000pm they were on bank side setting up base camp for the week, they flipped a coin and Malcolm won the toss.

Malcolm picked the right side on peg 5 which left Russ with the left.

Malcolm was first into a fish which was a nice common carp weighing 9kg 100g – 20lb off the dam wall.

Then Russ hit into a fish from the far corner of the lake which is a lovely little hot spot for the carp. 15 minutes later he had a mirror carp on the bank which tipped the scales at 22kg 700g – 50lb.

Over the moon that he had smashed his P.B the wine was cracked for celebration, well done to Russ for a new 2011 lake recored.

We will keep you posted on how they do in the week so tight lines when fishing in the Dordogne.
