Last carp of the holiday for Malcolm

Author: Jason

Russ and Malcolm had some great weather for their weeks holiday in the Dordogne.

They both beat their PB’s with some stunning carp to grace the bank and have their photos took.

Malcolm was over the moon with his last fish of their holiday.

It was about 9.30pm as the sun was just going down when his far rod burst into life with a screaming take on a single pineapple bottom bait.

After about a 25 minute battle Malcolm had banked his new PB with a mirror carp tipping the scales at 22kg 700g – 50lb, well done Malcolm and it was celebrated by a bottle of champers.

They both said that they had been spoiled by carp fishing in the south of France and can’t wait until next year for their fishing holiday at the lake.

As they departed from the lake we had some very good friends turn up for a week of sunshine and fishing.

Dave, Sue, Pete and Sue set up for their week on the lake and it was not long before Dave was into his first fish, a nice mirror carp weighing 14kg 500g – 32lb.

Pete was not long after with a mirror carp weighing 12kg 700g – 28lb, they both caught some stunning fish between them.

It was also Dave’s Sues 60th birthday at the lake and we all went out for a great meal followed by a drink back at the lake, they all enjoyed their trip to the lake and we will see you all in August.

So until next time keep those lines tight when carp fishing in the Dordogne.
